Googling things at 2am while feeding your baby and feeling like no one else in the world is awake. And yes, it’s completely normal to Google “newborn poo” that many times in the first week! When something in their routine suddenly changes and you don’t know what or why. When breastfeeding isn’t going the way you thought it would and you’re not sure what to do. And when you’re given unwanted, unasked-for advice by everyone you meet, which makes you question everything you’ve been doing — and everything you want to do.
And then you find me.
I’m here to take away as much of that worry as possible and help you feel calm, confident and connected to your baby. I absolutely love the newborn stage. I understand how newborns work, and my passion is helping you understand that too, so you can enjoy these early moments as much as possible instead of feeling overwhelmed by them.
I’m not a traditional postnatal doula in that I don’t offer light housework or run errands. What I do offer is practical, supportive guidance when you need it most. This includes support with newborn sleep and routines, breastfeeding support, advice for your healing and recovery, baby massage and reflexology to support your baby’s development, supplement suggestions and more. Most importantly, I’m there to listen to you and truly hear you.
And if you have Carrot through work, I’m one of their approved postnatal doulas.
