You might be wondering what a Naturopath and Postnatal Doula actually means — and how I can support you.
In short: I help you feel well, confident, and cared for through preconception, pregnancy, and the postnatal period, using evidence-informed natural healthcare and practical newborn support.
What I do as a Naturopath
As a Naturopath, I support you using a specific set of principles. That means I don’t just focus on symptoms — I look at the bigger picture.
My goal is to:
- support your overall health and wellbeing
- keep you safe with informed recommendations
- educate you so you understand your body
- address root causes wherever possible
Since graduating with my science degree qualification, I’ve expanded my toolbox so I can support you through:
- preconception and fertility preparation
- pregnancy care and support
- early parenthood and recovery
How I support you in preconception and pregnancy
One of the biggest ways I help is by looking closely at your diet and lifestyle and making realistic tweaks that support your goals — whether that’s preparing for pregnancy or supporting your growing baby.
Supplements (when needed)
Food always comes first, but sometimes supplements are necessary to support nutrient levels — especially during pregnancy. I’m also trained to recommend supplements safely and appropriately.
Reflexology in pregnancy
I also offer reflexology, which is both gentle and incredibly effective. Reflexology can help:
- reduce stress and anxiety
- support sleep and relaxation
- improve overall wellbeing
- support the body during pregnancy
Reflexology is safe from day 1 of pregnancy if that’s what you’d like, or we can wait until the second trimester, depending on your preference and what feels best for you.
Regular reflexology during pregnancy has also been shown to have positive effects on labour and birth preparation.
Additional support options
Depending on your needs, I may also recommend:
- private functional tests
- essential oils
- simple self-care practices at home
- tailored wellbeing support throughout pregnancy
What I do as a Postnatal Doula
As a Postnatal Doula, I bring my baby-focused training into your care too.
I previously offered baby massage classes and baby reflexology sessions, but I found that many parents needed something more joined-up — a full support system, not separate services.
That’s why I trained as a Postnatal Doula, bringing together:
- newborn education and support
- baby reflexology and baby massage knowledge
- breastfeeding support training
- holistic postnatal care for you and your baby
My approach as a Postnatal Doula (and how it’s different)
I work slightly differently from many postnatal doulas.
I don’t come to do light housework or cook meals.
I don’t come purely to hold the baby while you sleep.
Instead, I come to your home to help you feel confident and capable by teaching you:
- how your baby functions and develops
- what’s normal (and what isn’t)
- tools and techniques to support your baby’s growth
- ways to care for yourself while you care for your baby
Of course, I can hold your baby while you shower, nap, or take a breather — but my priority is giving you the knowledge, reassurance, and permission to parent in a way that feels right for you.
And honestly? If you’d rather spend money on a cleaner and food deliveries, I fully support that too.
Pricing and investment
Let’s talk about money openly — because postnatal care shouldn’t be something we only whisper about.
I charge properly for my skill set and experience both as a Naturopath and Postnatal Doula. I’m not the most expensive Naturopath, but I won’t be the cheapest either
As a Postnatal Doula, I am a higher investment — because the level of personalised support is deeper and more involved.
To borrow the L’Oréal slogan: it’s because you’re worth it.
(And yes — payment instalment options are available.)
