Me

Well where to begin? This is probably a mix of information that should be in the ‘how I help you’ page. Because me, myself and I and what I do for work is so intertwined. I have always loved babies, so working to help you have your own and then teach you about your baby so you can be relaxed and happy, is my bliss.

I have also used all my knowledge on myself which meant that I was able to have a natural miracle baby in 2022. When I was 22, I was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia and lived on oral chemotherapy managing my leukaemia until I was 36, when I was finally in a good enough place to come off treatment and have a baby. I had eggs frozen as part of my treatment when I was 22 so I always assumed I would need IVF. When I had my fertility tests in 2021 it confirmed that I had ‘compromised fertility’ which came as no surprise. I then spent 6 months treating me as a client. I did some private tests, tweaked my diet and spent a lot of money on supplements. And in May 21 I had a very unexpected positive pregnancy test with no IVF needed. And my daughter arrived the following January.

I feel very grateful to all the knowledge that I have as it meant that I knew how she worked when she arrived. I had no sleep expectations. I knew she would want to be held all the time and was already prepared to ‘sling up’ and never use the buggy. I worked hard to be able to breastfeed her and we ended up co-sleeping which is the best thing I’ve ever done. Because of this she hardly ever cried. Was super chilled. And I didn’t struggle.

I absolutely love what I do. I’m not perfect. I’m realistic. I drink coffee, eat chocolate, aim to eat as many vegetables as possible and walk as much as I can. I know what life can be like when it throws curve balls, and I know how to keep going. Always with hope.
